We often get asked about our favorite things in Hong Kong. This city is a bustling metropolis with endless opportunities. From the food to the culture, this city has it all!

In this article, we’ve listed our 8 favorite things for life in Hong Kong in 2021 so you can get an idea of what we are loving.

2021 has been another tough year and that’s why wellness and trying to find joy in everyday life is a key focus for this list.

Hypnotherapy: simple and effective self-care

Why we chose it:

  • As a result of our deliberate further exploration into wellness, we’ve really enjoyed trying hypnotherapy in 2021.
  • Many people are holding onto negative experiences from their childhood and they use various ways to cope such as drinking too much or even working too much.
  • An alternative way to overcome these issues is to try hypnosis– it can be a really powerful, quick, and effective way to overcome traumatic experiences.

What you should know:

  • For a 90-min session, you can expect to pay as little as $1,300. Given the way a single session can alter your mindset, we’d say it’s a good investment into your well-being.
  • Check to see if your insurance coverage will pay for sessions!

  • Machine washable with a garment bag & cold water
  • The fabric stays soft and you will literally forget you are wearing them.

  • It’s great to be able to socialize with friends and what better way to socialize than by eating really high-quality Italian food at a reasonable price
  • The service of this restaurant is excellent
  • The ambiance of the restaurant is super cozy, friendly, and authentic; a hole-in-the-wall you must try

What you should know:

  • The venue itself is relatively small so be sure to book ahead if you have larger groups
  • G/F, 53 Sai Street, Sheung Wan, +852 6651 7600, FB: @Giabar

Cheese Club: for delicious and affordable cheese

Why we chose it:

  • The Cheese Club sells European cheese sourced directly from farms
  • The prices at the Cheese Club will be lower than probably anywhere else you will find in Hong Kong

What you should know:

  • You can place an order once a month; the selection will alter slightly each month
  • They are able to sell cheese at lower prices by reducing waste and costs
  • They only place an order from Europe once people in HK have already indicated what they want and they only sell online

The Store HK

Why we chose it:

  • We are always interested to try new health foods and The Store HK sells some of the most famous health food brands in the world

Research has shown that CBD can help relieve anxiety as well as help with other disorders.

Why we chose it:

  • CBD products are legal in Hong Kong as long as they don’t contain any THC; you’ve probably noticed all kinds of CBD products popping up around HK

What you should know:

  • We prefer high-quality CBD products that have been verified by a 3rd party and that’s why we like Naturecan products
  • Our favorite CBD products are:
CBD oils; broad-spectrum, 10% CBD (i.e., 1000 mg per 10ml), vegan, GMO free
CBD cookies; on-the-go snack, vegan, 0% THC, 25mg of CBD per cookie
