The annual Bun Carnival in Cheung Chau is back! The exciting Bun Scrambling Final will take place on May 26 at Pak Tai Temple Playground, and physically fit people aged 18 or above can apply from February 27 to March 20.

The Bun Scrambling Competition has three stages: safety training, finalist selection, and the Bun Scrambling Final. The finalist selection exercise on April 30 will include 24 contestants with the shortest times in the preliminary round. The 12 finalists with the highest scores will compete during the Bun Scrambling Final for the top prize.

This year’s Bun Carnival will also feature a range of activities, including the Climbing Carnival and the Student Colouring and Drawing Competitions. The Climbing Carnival on May 14 will have bun tower climbing relay competitions, game stalls, handicrafts, and variety shows. The Wishing Bun Tower and winning works of the Student Colouring and Drawing Competitions will also be on display.

Prospectuses and enrolment forms for the Bun Scrambling Competition will be available from February 27 at the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and sports centres in the Islands District. Completed forms must be submitted by March 20. If applications exceed the quota of 200, places will be allocated by ballot. Cheung Chau residents will have priority.
