• Each of Cult Beauty’s products is carefully selected for efficacy and stand-alone excellence.

What we like:

• Cult Beauty has many brands available, including BECCA, Benefit, Charlotte Tilbury, Huda Beauty, Laura Mercier, and NARS.

What we don’t like:

• Buying cosmetics can be tricky. How can you know it’s the right shade? The good thing about buying items from the Cult Beauty website is a large number of reviews – it cuts through these worries when you can check out what actual customers have said.

Summary:

• One more great thing; you can knock 20% off all the prices online! When you get your makeup shipped to Hong Kong, they knock off the UK VAT, which gives you a nice discount at the checkout.
• When I’ve ordered from Cult Beauty, I’ve not had problems; my products arrived a few days later. Plus, when you put in an order of over £60 (~HK$660), shipping is free.
• Compared to Sephora, we have found from our own experience that you can expect to pay approximately 20% less for products bought at Cult Beauty.

2. Kiko Milano – Long-lasting inexpensive cosmetics in Hong Kong

Why we chose it:

• Have you checked out the Kiko Milano makeup stores in Hong Kong? These cosmetic products are gorgeous looking with a cool minimalist design that’s all about the products’ quality.

• Kiko Milano was created more than 20 years ago with the specific purpose of producing professional-grade makeup at reasonable prices.
• The brand uses clinical tests to prove each and every Kiko Milano product’s effectiveness; you can rest easy knowing that the products were made with care.
• I found the staff to be super helpful; they really knew their products.

What we like:

• Specializing in high-pigment eyeshadow, long-lasting lipstick, and beautiful bronzers and blushes.
• Our favorite Kiko Milano cosmetics products are:

What we don’t like:

• They have fewer stores in Hong Kong than previously. We miss their store in IFC. So, if you come across a Kiko Milano store, don’t hesitate! Go straight inside and try their products. 

Summary:

• Importantly, Kiko Milano products are long-lasting. You can expect a similar quality to NARS and MAC Cosmetics but at prices around 50% of these more well-known brands.
• Check the products out in-store, and you’ll instantly understand the quality you’re getting. Unfortunately, you can’t buy these products online in Hong Kong but, if you stumble upon one of their five stores, do yourself a favor, go inside and try a few products.

What we like:

• They have a huge range of brands, all at discounted prices.
• Strawberrynet sells makeup brands like:
  – Burberry
  – BareMinerals
  – Stila
  – Covergirl
  – Seventeen
  – Urban Decay
  – Yves Saint Laurent
• All are available for delivery across Hong Kong. The prices are low, with around 30-40% discounts compared to the high street.

What we don’t like:

• Even though Strawberrynet sells a huge variety of brands, they only sell certain products from each brand. So, if you want to buy a specific product, you may or may not find it on this website.

Summary:

5. Sasa HK – High-quality cosmetics instore

Why we chose it:

• Looking for where to buy Yves Saint Laurent makeup in Hong Kong? Sasa is the website and store to check out.
  
• Sasa sells a limited range of makeup brands, but there’s clearly been a lot of effort behind their stock choices.
• They have a great range of brilliant value, international, Japanese, and Korean makeup brands.

What we like:

• Check out the stock of Maybelline products. It’s a classic makeup brand that’s inexpensive but gets the job done – their mascara and eyeshadows are famous worldwide.
• If the great makeup wasn’t enough, they have a wide range of makeup brushes, sponges, and tweezers to get you well preened.
• In lots of the stores, you can get the skincare brand The Ordinary. It’s a no-frills, high-quality skincare brand that sells products with active ingredients such as acids, retinoids, peptides, and vitamin C. You can pick up products from The Ordinary for about half the price of other brands that have the same active ingredients.

What we don’t like:

• The range of cosmetics brands that Sasa stocks are relatively limited; if you are searching for specific cosmetics brands, you may not find them here. 

Summary:

• Hong Kong Sasa has makeup stores all over Hong Kong, including quite a few in Tsim Sha Tsui. They have more than 100 locations across Hong Kong.

6. Mong Kok Argyle Centre – Great for Korean and Japanese cosmetics 

Why we chose it:

• Mong Kok’s Argyle Centre is a haven for purchasing quality makeup in Hong Kong, without the standard price tags.
• You might be surprised to know that the Argyle Centre is home to some really well-known and popular overseas makeup brands such as:
  – Tarte
  – Huda Beauty
  – Urban Decay
  – Sugarbox

What we like:

• The makeup is quite seasonal and often changes, so you’ll find something new during each trip to the Argyle Centre, and it’s always reasonably priced.

What we don’t like:

• You never know what you’ll end up finding – no guarantees. 

Summary:

• The Argyle Centre is home to shops selling Korean and Japanese makeup brands that are worth checking out; these brands heavily focus on enhancing skin quality.
• The best part is many of these products are reasonably priced.

7. Lookfantastic – Online cosmetics company selling affordable and high-end brands

Why we chose it:

• Lookfantastic is focused on helping its customers make informed decisions about beauty products
• The website provides plenty of accurate information on its products 

What we like:

• Huge selection of both affordable and luxury beauty brands 
• International shipping is available and free returns are available on all orders
• We just love the Lookfantastic Beauty Box – it’s a monthly subscription beauty box that allows you to trial smaller-sized beauty products at lower-than-normal prices

What we don’t like:

• Some people have complained about their customer service – although, we have never had an issue.
