  • Known for their delicious plant-based flats, salads, and soups, MANA! has been a staple in the community since 2012.

What we like:

  • Try their wrapped wholemeal flatbreads topped with your choice of veggie toppings, or give one of their signature flats a try.
  • The signature falafel flat includes falafel, fresh tomato, romaine lettuce, pickled peppers, parsley, and tahini.
  • The Burgers are also delicious, and you get your choice of homemade vegan patty and sauce.

What we don’t like:

  • Sometimes I just can’t help but to order the burger; wish I had more self-control.

  • This is a lovely vegan cafe located in the heart of Soho.

  • Hawaiian poké bowl with a white or brown rice base, salad, half rice, half salad. For a topping, you can select 180g of seasoned, cubed tuna or salmon sashimi.

What we like:

  • Great flavors including Traditional Spicy Ahi, California Roll Ahi, and Yuzu Sesame Salmon.

What we don’t like:

  • If you are super hungry, the portion can feel small.

What we like:

  • Fresh fillings made daily, Vietnamese coffee prepped in the early morning, and Vietnamese-style baguette baked in-house.
  • The baguette is first spread with a thin layer of mayonnaise and pate, then packed with your choice of protein (charred char siu, lemongrass chicken, beef brisket, tofu, or cold cuts), followed by toppings such as veggies, herbs, and sauces.

What we don’t like:

  • There isn’t much space to eat; best for takeaway.

  • Perfect as an afternoon snack or a quick lunch, we’re crazy about banh mi.

4. Fete Up – Best well-balanced, healthy lunch in Central

Fete Up creates well-balanced meals, this is one of the best vegan restaurants Hong Kong.

  • Fete Up specializes in veggie or grain-based bowls, topped with lean protein and colorful vegetables seasoned and cooked to perfection.
  • You can order the “Vegan Crunch” bowl for $86, which contains Falafel with Brown Rice, Edamame, Garlic Soy Sauce.
  • You can also make your own bowl.

What we like:

  • They produce meals with a balanced combination of carbohydrates, protein, and fats.
  • They provide details on the calorie count of all of their menu items.
  • They have exciting veggie options. Roasted cauliflower? Yes, please!
  • You can add falafel to your bowl. We also love the chickpeas, edamame, and kidney beans.

What we don’t like:

  • You probably don’t want to eat this every day.

  • They are really focused on providing healthy, well-balanced meals.

What we like:

  • They use fresh ingredients with no MSG, preservatives, and additives. They also provide information on the calories of every dish.

What we don’t like:

  • Not much we don’t like; they sell healthy, affordable food, but if you’re looking for a swanky venue, this isn’t it.

  • Regular-sized Chicken Breast “slow-cooked” Healthy Box costs $70 and includes a piece of chicken with rice, vegetables, and sauce.
