F45 classes combine; functional training, HIIT (high-intensity interval training), and circuit training. More than 30 different workouts feature thousands of different exercises, so you aren’t likely to get bored.

Workouts range from 45 mins to 1 hour in duration. In some classes, you’ll be focused on lifting weights, and others are pure cardio.

An indoor boot camp, Hit45, consists of 45-minute-high intensity workouts. Workouts consist of roughly half of the time on a treadmill doing interval training, and the other half of the time will be spent working-out a particular part of your body (with or without weights).

Hit45 offers single sessions at $295. One week is at a flat rate of unlimited HK$750. One month unlimited is HK$2,500.

4. LCSD Hong Kong

Government-provided fitness rooms full of exercise equipment

These fitness rooms are equipped with an array of exercise equipment, all supplied by the government. These fitness rooms are part of an initiative of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) that provides fitness rooms in urban areas and the New Territories.

These are some of the most affordable gyms, HK; LCSD allows any from 15 years of age and above to utilize the fitness equipment available at more than 20 locations across Hong Kong.

You must have one of the following qualifications to register for this physical fitness HK program, which covers:

  1. You must have either completed and passed the LCSD-organized assessment on “Briefing on proper ways to use fitness equipment.” You can join this for free.
  2. Or you must have completed “Fitness (Multi-gym) training courses ” organized by LCSD with 80% or higher attendance, from May 2006 onwards.
  3. Or you are an LCSD fitness Gold Cardholder.
  4. Or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Physical Fitness Association of Hong Kong, China.

These fitness rooms work on timetables, and you can choose your specific place and time to start your workout routine post registering with any of the above-listed qualifications.

You can expect to find equipment thatincludeses a rower, treadmill, elliptical, flat incline bench, and an upright bike.

The monthly cost of joining the LCSD fitness program is only $180, and certain people (including senior citizens and people with a disability) will only have to pay half price.

Instructors are available between 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm from Monday to Friday, including public holidays.

5. Fuze classes at Pure Fitness

Recently, Pure Fitness introduced FUZE at two Hong Kong locations (Kinwick Centre & International Trade Tower).

The introduction of FUZE classes to Pure makes total sense; these are high-intensity workouts with outstanding music.

There are three types of FUZE workouts (Fuel, Blaze, and Mobility). 

Each of the three workouts has a different focus, but you can be sure that you will enjoy the maximum calorie burn for each.

More about the workouts:

  • Fuel is a 45-minute workout focused on cardio. A variety of machines will be used, and you can expect to burn some serious calories.
  • Blaze is a 45-minute workout that covers strength-training, functional high-intensity training, and core work. You will not get bored in this class.
  • Mobility is a 45-minute workout that concentrates on exercises that improve mobility and movement. This is a terrific class for people who feel as though they have restricted movement.

While FUZE classes are offered multiple times a day, demand is high, and classes are generally booked out within a few seconds. Class sizes are normally between 18-24 people.
